Joanna Parypinski was born in Chicago, where she became interested in writing at an early age. She attended Butler University for her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing and Spanish. During her time there, she won multiple awards in the English department’s annual creative writing contest and served four years as a staff member for the university’s undergraduate literary magazine.
After graduating, she moved west to Los Angeles and obtained her Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from Chapman University.
A member of the Horror Writers Association, Parypinski is actively writing and publishing short fiction and seeking representation for her most recent novel. She currently lives in the L.A. area and teaches English at Glendale Community College.
